Agreement

Terms of Use

Last updated 1 October 2026

1. The offer

New users receive a free 14-day trial beginning automatically when Prots is first opened on that PC. No account, activation code, or payment card is required. After the trial, writing assistance pauses unless you purchase access. Saved local data is preserved. While purchasing is unavailable, trials are extended when the app connects; an offline PC needs to reconnect to receive an extension. Paid access covers up to two PCs for your own use. There is no automatic charge. Existing trial grants keep their original terms. Existing Open Beta access keeps its original terms: there is no individual trial countdown on those existing beta entitlements and no automatic conversion to a paid plan. Prots will publish at least 30 days' advance notice before general free beta access ends. Continuing with any future paid version will always require a separate choice and checkout.

2. Eligibility and access

You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement. Prots stores a private access credential on your PC; ordinary setup and purchases do not require you to copy a license key. Paid access may be restored with your purchase email and used on up to two PCs. Access credentials may not be sold, shared, or used to evade trial or device limits. Prots may block abusive, fraudulent, or compromised access.

3. Availability and compatibility

Features, compatibility, and local data formats may change; interruptions and defects are possible. Do not rely on Prots as the sole copy of important information or for safety-critical, medical, legal, financial, or emergency work. Back up your PC.

4. Future paid access

Starting a trial does not create an order or subscription. If a paid plan is introduced, its seller, total price, taxes, billing interval, cancellation route, and withdrawal information will be shown before checkout. Existing beta access will not create an order or charge by itself. See Withdrawal and cancellation.

5. Updates and availability

The trial can start offline. Purchases, restoration, trial extensions, and periodic access updates require internet access. Free beta access may end after the notice described above. The local typing path does not depend on a cloud language model. Security or compatibility updates may be required. Reasonable notice will be given for material adverse changes where law requires it.

6. Acceptable use

Do not bypass licensing, probe or overload the service, distribute malware through it, reverse engineer except where mandatory law or an applicable third-party licence permits, or use it in violation of another person’s rights. These terms do not limit rights granted under the separate licences for included third-party software, models, or data. The software license is detailed in the EULA.

7. Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or a conformity remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under Polish and EU consumer law. For non-consumer claims, and only to the extent the law permits, liability is limited to foreseeable direct loss and the amount paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

8. Law, complaints, and contact

Polish law governs without removing mandatory protections of the consumer’s country of residence. Courts competent under applicable consumer law remain available. Send complaints to Maciej Wajda at support@prots-ai.com or Belgijska 6, 54-404 Wrocław, Poland. Complaints will be acknowledged promptly and answered within the legally required period.
