Install and use Prots
Install
Download Prots for Windows. Open the installer and follow the steps.
Open Prots
Open Prots from your desktop or Start menu. Your 14-day trial starts automatically.
Use a suggestion
Read an email or document, then start typing a detail from it. Press Tab or click a suggestion to insert it.
Using suggestions
In fields such as email or address, click the small Prots button when it appears to see remembered values. Keep typing if you do not want a suggestion.
- Tab or a click inserts a suggestion.
- ↑ and ↓ select another suggestion.
- → or a click on the source opens the original text.
- Esc closes the suggestion or source view.
Settings and pause
Click the Prots icon beside the Windows clock to open Settings. It may be under the hidden-icons arrow. Right-click it to pause, resume or quit.
Use General for startup and suggestion controls, Memory for information categories, and Help & access for your trial and updates. Closing Settings leaves Prots running.
Compatibility
Windows 10 (22H2 or newer) and Windows 11 on x64 PCs. No browser extension required.
Prots works with supported text fields. Password fields, some custom controls, remote desktops and apps running as administrator may not support suggestions.
Updates
Automatic updates install when you next open Prots. You can change this in Settings → Help & access. Your settings and remembered information are kept.
